Sarah Fenech

Advanced Practitioner & Director

Sarah is the Advanced Practitioner and Director of Advanced Therapy Mackay. After 17 years in the government sector, she established Advanced Therapy to provide a more accessible, friendly, and hands-on service model for individuals, families, and people with disability across the Mackay community.


She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Social Work and brings over 24 years of experience across the social work, mental health, and disability sectors. Sarah’s work is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centred practice, with a strong focus on supporting people with complex psychosocial and behavioural needs.


Sarah is passionate about advocacy and believes meaningful change happens when people feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported.

Jordan Watson

PBSP Team Leader & Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner

Jordan joined Advanced Therapy in 2023 after completing her Bachelor’s and Honours degrees in Psychology. She has experience across youth, disability, and psychological support roles, working with individuals with complex mental health and behavioural needs.


In her role as PBSP Team Leader, Jordan provides clinical leadership and supervision within the behaviour support team, supporting high standards of ethical, person-centred practice and consistency across service delivery.


Jordan is particularly interested in cognitive reframing approaches to support anxiety, OCD (including rumination and intrusive thoughts), and other challenges that impact day-to-day wellbeing. She values building collaborative, respectful relationships with clients and working alongside them to achieve meaningful, practical goals.


She brings a thoughtful, down-to-earth approach to her work and is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-informed behaviour support.

Deser'a Ziegeler

Behaviour Support Practitcioner

Des joined Advanced Therapy Mackay in 2024, bringing over a decade of experience in the disability sector. Her career began with a traineeship in Aged Care and progressed through a wide range of disability and leadership roles.


Her experience includes support work, team leadership, creative arts program development, respite services, and Service Coordination overseeing Supported Independent Living and Short Term Accommodation services. Des holds an Advanced Diploma in Community Services and is a certified Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer.



She is known for her calm, grounded approach and her strong commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred practice.

Joshua Ronnfeldt

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Josh holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) and brings a strong background in disability support. Prior to joining Advanced Therapy in 2025, he worked as a support worker for four years while completing his studies, gaining valuable hands-on experience.


He values being empathetic, genuine, and respectful, and aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment for the people he works with. Josh is motivated by helping individuals navigate daily challenges and work towards their personal goals.



Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, spending time at the beach, and keeping connected with family and friends.

Thomas Collins

Support Worker / Allied Health Assistant

Thomas joined Advanced Therapy in 2023 as an Administration and IT Compliance Officer, where he supports systems that assist service coordination and information management.


He also works in a client-facing role as a Support Worker and Allied Health Assistant, supporting the implementation of practitioner-led strategies and capacity building activities under clinical direction, alongside Behaviour Support Practitioners and other allied health professionals.


Thomas is currently completing a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and brings a reliable, considered, and person-centred approach to both his operational and support roles.

Lachlan Collins

Allied Health Assistant / Support Worker

Lachlan joined Advanced Therapy in early 2025 and brings a warm, calm, and welcoming presence to the front-of-house service. He helps ensure clients feel comfortable and supported from the moment they arrive.


Alongside this role, Lachlan works as an Allied Health Assistant and Support Worker, supporting clients to build practical life skills and participate in community-based activities, including coordinating the weekly social group.


Lachlan is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and works under clinical direction, bringing a thoughtful and respectful approach to his support role.

Alis Shern

Administration Officer | Accounts & Client Onboarding

Alis joined Advanced Therapy Mackay in June 2022 and supports accounts management and client onboarding.


She plays a key role in maintaining organised systems, clear communication, and a welcoming first point of contact for clients and families.


Alis brings a strong creative and administrative background, holding a Bachelor of Architecture with a major in Industrial Graphic Design, as well as TAFE qualifications in spoken and written English. She is known for being approachable, reliable, and highly organised, supporting both clients and staff behind the scenes.

Bryson Coyle

Administration Support / Support Worker / Allied Health Assistant

Bryson supports the team across office operations, support work, and Allied Health Assistant tasks, helping keep the service running smoothly day to day.


He is currently learning more about the disability sector and plans to study in the humanities field next year. Bryson brings lived experience through supporting a family member with disability, which has shaped his interest in the sector and strengthened his commitment to respectful, person-centred support.


Bryson brings a strong work ethic, a helpful attitude, and a genuine desire to contribute positively to the people and families we support.
